About Us

IntelliMali is a privately-owned company that specialises in the payment and administration of funds through its solutions IntelliCard and IntelliCell.

It was established in 2009 to alleviate the pressure experienced by Chief Financial Officers and Financial Aid practitioners at South African Higher Education institutions and has grown substantially into several other industries from this original base.

It is a 51% black-owned company, has a Level 2 B-BBEE status and is managed by a team of professionals with expertise to meet the specific requirements of our range of clients.

Allowances fall within a range of categories including Tuition, Accommodation, Books, Food, Cash, Travel, Clothing, Fuel, Entertainment, and more…

We offer reliable, fully secure and instant transaction turnaround time in the administration of these allowances on behalf of the funder, employer or sponsor.

Recipients experience seamless, powerful technology as they purchase goods at a number of selected merchants using an Intellicard.  Purchases, protected by the recipients’ PIN, are processed in a matter of seconds and the transaction reporting available in real-time to both the recipient and the merchant.

Recipients are also able to purchase from our APP on their cellphone.  After entering their student or reference number a voucher number sent to the phone enables them to complete the transaction.

Intellicell is available on the Google, Apple and Hauwei APP stores.

Merchants experience efficient transactions, increased turnover and painless end-of-month reconciliation processes; and funders, employers and sponsors experience a significant reduction in administrative time and effort in the comprehensive management of allowances.

We would like to assure you that the way we use, store and process your data is compliant with PoPIA.
